Exploration knows only the bounds of your self-imposed limitations.

Sometimes, being in the moment doesn't equate to being behind the lens.

I've realized through many years of traveling with camera in hand that you can make great use of opportunities to capture special moments...by not shooting them.

What do I mean? I mean that the moments which on the surface offer a seemingly picturesque (no pun intended) setup worthy of quickly swinging your lens around to capture what likely thousands of others have, are actually a chance to stop yourself from the pavlovian act that differs little from what we all seemingly do with our cellphones day in and day out. A chance to analyze the moment, look around you, take in all the stimuli of where you currently stand, most important of all, a chance to wait for the moments seldom captured in between.
